FOODMACH, a leading Australian manufacturer and exporter of palletising machines, has unveiled the latest development in low level palletising equipment, the S3000 case palletiser.
Two years of extensive research and development has created a
low level palletiser primarily tailored for the Australian market.
The design ensures industrial strength that is suitable for a 24 hour, seven days per week environment while providing gentle and accurate handling of product as well as offering flexibility, safety, durability and ease of maintenance.
Able to achieve speeds up to 2 layers per minute, depending on pallet patterns, the S3000 handles a wide variety of packaged product such as cartons, crates and bags, and is very tolerant of shrink wrapped trays and bundles.
The declining plastic mat and a cushioned bump turner makes effective use of gravity to move the product into position gently,
signficantly reducing damage to products.
The palletiser can run automatically, unattended and is Programmable Logic Controlled using a graphical user-friendly operator interface that
is remotely positioned so that line personnel can easily establish the operating status of the system, making monitoring easier.
The pre-programmed software includes a comprehensive diagnostic system.
Foodmach uses pallet-planning software to determine a pattern, which will achieve pallet stabilisation.
Engineering equipment to suit individual application includes programming patterns designed specifically for the product/s.
The company also offers stretch wrapping equipment that is easily integrated into the equipment as a means of stabilising products on the pallet.
Patterns change as products change and the software design is user programmable to accomodate future patterns. This means no costly software changes.
Adjustable parameters on the S3000 maximises the ability to add future packs or patterns without the need for expensive retrofit hardware.
Both the hoist and sweep have electrically driven motors with adjustable pneumatic over torque safety devices.
If a jam occurs, the machine will shut down without damaging product or machinery.
The S3000 conforms to Australian and world safety Standards and is
enclosed with gates and light curtains.
Low level case palletiser equipment utilises the Erwin Sick Safety Beam as a light curtain, complete with mutable system, enabling the full pallet to exit the machine without compromising operator access or machine efficiency.
Low level case palletiser allows for only the full pallet to exit the machine and is virtually impossible to override.
Breaking the light beam at any other time will stop the machine and will require that the machine be reset from the remote panel
to start again.
One standard safety feature is the keyed maintenance lock out switch on the control panel. This safety system, when used with correct work practices, will disable the machine when personnel are in the operating area.
The fault and alarm indicator light tower is also standard on all Foodmach equipment and easily indicates the status of the machinery via red, amber and green lights.
