Heat or Cool
portable, economical, simple
compact tabletop design
The mini temperature bath is a compact, tabletop device, that can cool water to 0C, (+/- 0.5C) or heat water to a temperature of 56C (+/-0.5C). The mini temperature calibration bath is a simple, easy to use device to aid in the comparison calibration of temperature probes.
A regular calibration check of a thermometer and probe as a system is essential to maintain confidence with your readings. The bath provides a handy source, which heats or cools water and, when used in conjunction with a reference thermometer, provides an economical solution.
It is recommended that when using the calibration bath that either hot water or cold water (crushed ice mixture) is poured into the calibration cup, the cup then placed into the bath and only then is the power connected. Then simply press either the Cold or Hot button to heat, cool or maintain the at 0C or 56C
Once a stable temperature has been achieved, insert your probes into the water. Compare the readings of the thermometer under test with that of the Reference thermometer and any difference will be the error of the unit being tested. A slight agitation of the water will assist with the speed of response and the accuracy of the readings.
