Rittal -
The redesigned Optipanel for operator panels and keyboards gives the mechanical engineering sector an interesting design alternative to conventional operator panels. The operator panels and keyboard housings developed by Rittal can be used individually or in combination.
The new Optipanel requires no separate frame, giving it a light, slimline appearance. It allows mechanical engineers to differentiate between elements and visualises the relationships between control electronics and controlled element at operating level.
Just as in the tried-and-tested VIP 6000 panel system, with the Optipanel, individuality is paramount. And naturally, Rittal also provide bespoke configurations and customised accessories such as aluminium front plates, handle sets, clipboards, etc.
The components are assembled using spring nuts inserted into the all-round fixing ducts. This allows the interior installation to be carried out quickly and flexibly. The operating panel is available in housing depths of 100 and 150 mm and the key panel in 50 or 100 mm.
Further improvements have been made to the support arm connection system. Now there is even more room for cable routing with less bending required. A coupling element is available for mounting Optipanels to existing support arm systems, like the CP 6500.
Keyboard and operating housing are combined to form a single, compact unit, bringing the keyboard closer to the operator panel. Another ergonomic advantage: the keyboard housing is not fixed rigidly to the operator panel and the tilt can be adjusted within a range of 70 degrees, making operation easier even under difficult conditions.
As a more economical alternative to the Optipanel's new one-piece frame/enclosure profile, the Optipanel can also be supplied as a housing with separate frame, making it an interesting alternative price-wise as well as design-wise. The new Optipanel is supplied in the colour combination graphite/natural anodised - but other colours can of course be supplied too.
