The Dräger X-am 2000 is one of a new range of innovative 4 gas detectors ideally suited for confined space requirements. Its compact design combined with state of the art XXS sensors reliably monitor O2, H2S, CO and combustible gases in ambient air.
At less than 250 grams the Dräger X-am 2000 is small and compact with the common shape and feel of a mobile phone. Featuring the highest ingress protection rating of any gas detector and sensors of IP 67 the detector can be dropped into water without any negative effect to the instrument, a good feature to have when entering manholes. The inbuilt rubber boot is also a significant protection against dropping and rough handling.
An intuitive menu driven software and one handed operation make it simple to use. The large backlit display can be seen from over 2 meters. Its compact design with strong alligator clip can effortlessly be worn on the belt or breast pocket without causing any inconvenience to the user.
For the development of the Dräger X-am 2000 Dräger uses its new XXS sensors these sensors have the advanced features of extra long life times and long term stability. Unique to the Dräger X-am 2000 is a two way sensor opening with makes it impossible to block the sensor opening. Even the sensor filter cap was designed with a special oil resistant membrane than can be conveniently cleaned by running the whole detector under a tap.
