Ross Brown Sales -
The patented Ray Snubber protects gauges and other sensitive instruments that function as windows to your system's operation.
OMS was founded in 1945 with the purpose of designing and manufacturing a centre joint Pressure Snubber. This snubber proved to be an effective way to prevent damage to instrumentation and gauges caused by surges and pulsations that are found in a wide variety of industrial applications.
In the late 1950's OMS was asked by the US Navy to produce a smaller snubber that could satisfy the size constraints within the Polaris Missile launch system. The solid body snubber was the result.
OMS now produce the solid body snubber in a wide variety of connections and materials, including Brass, 303 and 316 stainless, monel and Aluminium.
Through its unique design, the Ray Snubber's rugged piston moving within its chamber kicks out the sediment and pipe scale that clod needle valves, filters, porous metal discs and other designs.
To accommodate variations in viscosities, every snubber is delivered with three different sized easily changed pistons. Because the piston is the only moving part, maintenance is minimal. No parts to be regularly cleaned or replaced.
Exceeding customer expectations is the hallmark, which our team strives for on a daily basis. We look forward to the opportunity of providing you with your application solution.
