As a result, the position is retained after the attached tool has been used. Spring Balancers permit fatigue-free working, even over prolonged periods of time.
Arresting Mechanism
Most versions of both the retractors and balancers are available with an automatic Arresting Mechanism. This mechanism stops the retraction process in any required position, provided the tool is retracted slowly. If the tool retracts rapidy, the arresting mechanism does not operate. This feature is particularly useful when there is a need to prevent the tool from returning to its original starting position.
