Operating Efficiency - The Nirvana runs at 95% efficiency throughout its entire speed range. The HPM motor is controlled by variable speed inverters which match compressor output to demand at all times. It’s designed to produce the most air using the least amounts of energy - and continues to do this down to loads as low as 20%.
The World’s First True Variable Speed Compressor
This Nirvana™ package is the first to feature Hybrid Permanent Magnet (HPM) Synchronous Motor Technology.
Two-Year Package Warranty
The Nirvana features a two-year package warranty, covering all except periodic maintenance.
Nirvana’s Inherent Leak-Free Design
The cast iron separator tank joins the airend using an integral, single-point connection. Ingersoll-Rand has eliminated all external discharge piping and the check valve, making the Nirvana compressor virtually leak free.

Ease of Maintenance
The Nirvana is as low maintenance as a compressor can get! The HPM motor is significantly easier to repair and houses fewer parts than conventional motors, resulting in repairs being completed at a fraction of the cost, and within hours, not days.
Fewer Parts
As the HPM directly drives the compressor on magnetic field principles, it means there are no gears, bearings, shaft seals, seal housing, gear cases or alignment issues - encouraging ease of maintenance and flexibility of use.
Cost Savings Plus
With less parts that can wear out, leak, lose their alignment or need replacing, the Nirvana is a less costly compressor to care for. Also the HPM motor allows the compressor to soft start, eliminating all high starting current draws and energy wastage of an unloaded compressor cycle.
More Compact Design
The Nirvana system is mounted directly onto the compressor in a cantilever fashion. This enables the HPM motor to directly drive the Nirvana compressor.
