17/02/2010 - A Public Weighbridge was recently commissioned at the Rampage National BP Truck Stop at Rockbank in Melbourne. Jessica Bryant

This Public Weighbridge consists of four weighbridge decks to display the gross weights of each axle group separately to highlight any instances of axle overloading.

Ultrahawke's Public Weighbridge also displays the gross truck weights and is only the second Public Weighbridge in Victoria that is trade approved for remote weighing operation. Public Weighbridge tickets can be produced by store staff from any of the cash registers which are all linked to Ultrahawk's Public Weighbridge Server.

A series of boom gates, positional sensors and traffic light guidance ensures the trucks are correctly positioned on the Public Weighbridge before the driver enters the shop for weighing. CCTV cameras are linked to the Public Weighbridge server and a snapshot of the vehicle being weighed is included on the Public Weighbridge weight docket that is produced.

Ultrahawke custom engineered this entire system to suit the client's need for a trade approved Public Weighbridge that blends seamlessly into a normal truck stop operation. Ultrahawke is Australia's largest and oldest manufacturer of weighbridges and recently celebrated 150 years of operation.
