RFA FR Perforated ‘Breathable’ Reflective Tape

New products to improve safety and working environments for workers in hot, humid and uncomfortable working conditions through the introduction of perforated ‘breathable’ reflective tapes for application to safety workwear.

RFA 9586 & RFA 9587 perforated ‘breathable’ reflective tape, Fire Coat Trim and RFA 8935 perforated ‘breathable’ silver flame resistant fabric.

Comprehensive testing by accredited laboratories has confirmed some significant advances and benefits with the new RFA perforated ‘breathable’ reflective tapes.

• More efficient in dissipating heat from a radiant source with a dispersion heat rate 26.5% higher than conventional reflective tapes.
• Greater permeability to air, where non perforated tape has five times the water vapour resistance compared with RFA perforated ‘breathable’ reflective tape.
• A reduction in the weight of the garment reflective tape with RFA perforated breathable tape compared with that of the equivalent 3M non perforated tape makes it more pliable and less restrictive.

RFA 9586 & RFA 9587 perforated ‘breathable’ reflective tapes not only provide significant benefits in the wearability and comfort of safety workwear but additionally provides enhancement of garment visual safety. Both the fluorescent red-orange and the fluorescent lime-yellow border strip variants together with the centred silver retroreflective stripe enhances the visibility of the wearer during daytime and in low light night time conditions.

RFA 8935 perforated ‘breathable’ silver flame resistant fabric when applied on high visibility warning clothing such as fire fighting and flame resistant occupational workwear enhances the visibility of the wearer particularly during darkness and low light conditions. RFA’s unique product design additionally provides superior wearability and comfort for the wearer.
