Reduce maintenance costs, wet weather damage for trucking yards

More than twelve months ago PolyCom Stabilising Aid was used to treat and re-cycle the gravel surface of a busy trucking yard in Gillman South Australia.

The process was a simple rip and re compact whilst adding PolyCom to the mix.

All of this the work was done using only a grader, roller and water cart as per the normal maintenance procedure, the only exception being the addition of PolyCom.

PolyCom treatment enabled the surface of the yard to better resist damage from rain events and subsequent rutting and potholing has also been reduced significantly to a point where the yard has required no maintenance.

Major reductions in watering and dust emissions have also been realised whilst providing better working conditions for forklift operators and truck drivers.

Word of this has spread in the industry and generated enquiries where more truck yards have adopted and benefitted from treatment with PolyCom Stabilising Aid.

See the pictures below where the yard in question received 40mm of rain and by the next morning was unaffected and working as normal without any silt or slush being present and no softening or wheel ruts etc.
