Safety equipment manufacturer wins top Telstra Award

Safetech was preseented with the national award by Telstra Chief Executive Officer, Sol Trujillo, and Deena Shiff, Telstra Group Managing Director for Telstra Business and Telstra Business Awards ambassador at the national finals held at the Westin in Sydney.

Managing Director, Lindsay Wakefield, said he's incredibly proud of safetech's achievements.

Safetech was established in 1985 and specialises in the design and manufacture of equipment to provide solutions to manual handling problems and occupational health and safety concerns. Product categories include lifting and levelling, pallet handling and overhead handling systems and pallet wrapping equipment. One of their most recent products includes semi automatic and automatic stretch tape wrapping machines that apply stretch tape - an alternative to stretch film that eliminates up to 90% of plastic waste when pallets are wrapped in the tape.

Mr Trujillo congratulated Safetech and the winners and finalists of the 2006 Telstra Business Awards for their business success.
