Luna Nameplate Industries Pty Ltd commenced life 1970, manufacturing specialised photo etched nameplates and labels. In 1978 Luna Nameplates acquired Industrial Trimware Pty Ltd and Half Moon Products Pty Ltd, companies that specialised in whitegoods and automotive applications. Following rationalisation and relocation, the newly formed company continued to grow with the development of further speciality products.
The most notable of which was the urethane encapsulation process (lenscal).
In 1987 LNI was taken over by Forteoh Investments Pty Ltd and given its current name. In 1990 operations were transferred to the factory in Bayswater, Victoria; the site being purpose built to suit LNI’s manufacturing processes. On the 1st of June 1995 LNI merged with Adcal Pty Ltd, bringing all manufacturing to the one location in Bayswater resulting in economics of scale, synergies in production and expansion of product range. This resulted in the following benefits to LNI and its Customers,
