The Miller PipePro™ features patented RMD (Regulated Metal Deposition) technology that achieves TIG quality root pass welds at more than twice the average speed for this type of work.  For example, the RMD process can out-produce Stick by a 5:1 ratio.

RMD is a short circuit transfer process that precisely controls welding current to eliminate excess puddle agitation. It enables arc variables to be sampled and adjusted up to 10,000 per second to create consistent and predictable arc conditions. 

An easy to use welding process is created for all levels of operator experience and excellent puddle control is maintained for the root pass.  A calm weld puddle produces consistent fusion lines on a pipe root pass – eliminating cold lap!  The result is that welds pass inspection the first time, offering considerable savings when it comes to inspection and rework costs.

When it comes to using the pulse function, the Pro-Pulse™ feature makes the PipePro™ much easier to operate than conventional pulse in out-of-position welding applications.  It achieves precise control of the arc and puddle, even in narrow joints.  The result is that operators learn the process faster, and achieve inspection quality welds.
