TOSHIBA TEC launches 5 new industrial barcode label printers
27/04/2012 - TOSHIBA TEC recently announced their new generation of Auto ID barcode label printers for the manufacturing, supply chain and retail industries, zooming in on a clearcut market demand for lower cost replacement solutions with a solid ROI and no-nonsense operations.
To combat tough economic times
"Our new range of 4" Auto ID printers are squarely targeted at replacing barcode label printers in the field," Toshihiko Minato, general manager, marketing, Toshiba TEC Global Solutions Business Group said.
"Most of these older printers are more expensive to operate and replacing them helps reduce these running costs. Using Toshiba's printers do save customers' money, every day, year after year.
"With the launch of these new industrial printers we are stepping into the arena.
"Toshiba wants to change the perception that the best is most expensive. It is not. Our printers are high-spec, high-throughput, high-performance and extremely durable – yet Toshiba's new barcode label printer series come at must-buy price points."
Toshiba's fight to protect the environment
The new Toshiba Auto ID label printers also pack a good ecological punch with the coveted Energy Star label and a Solvent Free ribbon offering.
As the Toshiba B-EX4 printer series released earlier this year combined a nearly 40 per cent overall lower power consumption compared to its predecessor, it benchmarked nearly 50 per cent lower power consumption on stand-by power against competitor label printers.
Toshiba is now expanding the series with the new 4" 200dpi and 300dpi flathead Auto-ID printers and a 4" flathead 600dpi label printer.
Incorporating the essentials of what made the current generation a market winner, Toshiba's newly released Auto ID printers also have a robust metal and anti-stain black cabinet. Packed with innovative technology such as a double-ribbon motor control and a snap-in print head, the new series continues to lower maintenance costs with field upgradeable options.
A new 6" 200dpi as well as a 300dpi flathead barcode printer is due to be available later this year.
Toshiba: "more for less"
The new generation of flathead Auto ID printers are all designed and manufactured by Toshiba with truly leading edge Toshiba engineering expertise inside.
Each barcode label printer carries the highest quality and safety standards on board to safeguard a solid performance every single day of its (very) long operational lifetime.
Every Toshiba barcode label printer seamlessly integrates with every supply chain operation or manufacturing facility without any changes in the business process.
Toshiba barcode printers will deliver a fully customised output as they:
- Generate industrial manufacturing barcode labels, retail and warehousing labels as well as custom labels for the pharmaceutical, automotive, telecom, and other industries
- Support major Linear and 2D barcode fonts to generate bespoke barcode labels for every industry
- Generate high-resolution bar code labels and tags
- Print industrial barcode labels with advanced barcode settings
- Provide complete barcoding solutions for industrial and retail environments
"Supply chain and plant operators now know where to look for a cost-effective replacement solution to printers," Minato said.
"The days of high cost of ownership are over. You do get much more for less at Toshiba."
The new B-EX4 industrial label printer series for both flat head and near edge is now available in Australia and New Zealand.
