Thermo Fisher Scientific impresses with new asbestos analyser

24/01/2012 - This year's annual AIOH (Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists) Conference in Brisbane, proved to be a fantastic opportunity for Thermo Fisher Scientific to showcase their new Thermo Scientific Asbestos Analyser, the MicroPHAZIR.

The interest has been overwhelming and their booth has been inundated with delegates, all trying to get a glimpse of the new analyser.

The new Thermo Scientific microPHAZIR AS is a handheld NIR material analyser designed for rapid positive screening and identification of asbestos containing materials. The 2.75 lb (1.25 kg) handheld analyser is completely self-contained and can perform accurate on-site analysis in seconds. Designed for expert and non-technical users alike, the microPHAZIR AS utilises the power of near-infrared spectroscopy to save you time and money.

Thermo Fisher were also proud sponsors of the AIOH Conference Award, and sponsors of the inaugural joint Thermo Fisher Scientific, Honeywell Analytics and AIOH Inc, Associate Member Education Award. This new award was introduced to facilitate the development of technician training in occupational hygiene.
