Wet Drum Magnetic Separators for Mining Industry
14/05/2009 - For recycling of magnetic medium or upgrading of iron ores
Used particularly for the recovery of the magnetic media used in dense medium process plants, Longji Magnetic Separators are now available for the Australian mining industry. With a range of diameters up to 1500 mm and lengths of up to 3 metres or even more, these separators employ only high remanence and high coercive force NdFeB Neodymium, Boron, Iron (or ‘rare earth’) magnet material. Longji’s approach is not a ‘one type fits all’, but rather a semi-customised approach to each application, ensuring that the most suitable magnetic field gradient and style is applied. A large magnet arc provides long exposure of magnetic particles to separating forces to ensure both recovery and concentrate integrity. The magnet element is of highest quality and is retained on a substantial structure to the centre shaft. Drive system can usually be to customer’s preference.
Tank and feed box are stainless steel and the drum shell consists of two layers of stainless steel, with the outer layer being a replaceable wear wrap. A system of overflow weirs maintains consistent and even feed to the drum surface and shaft position and gap distances are easily adjusted. Longji is represented in Australia by Serpent and Dove Pty Ltd.
