Workman dies in construction site accident at Canberra

23/07/2012 - A workman has died in an accident at a Canberra building site.

ACT police said the accident occurred on Saturday morning at a development on the Kingston Foreshore where a concrete pourer collapsed, injuring three workers.

"ACT Ambulance arrived at the scene and tried to resuscitate the man without success. The two injured workers have been transported to The Canberra Hospital for treatment," police said in a statement.

Police, assisted by Work Safe ACT, are now preparing a brief for the ACT Coroner.
