ABS Secondary Packing
Secondary packaging is the packaging of one or more items into one external pack.
For example, multiple foil blister packs are contained by one printed unit carton, or a bottle of medicine which is presented in a cardboard box with a Consumer Medical Information leaflet.
Secondary packaging is also used to hold multiple boxes of a product which is shipped to a retail outlet. In some cases the secondary packaging also doubles as the point-of-sales device that presents the consumer pack on the retail shelf.
