Bull Ant | Alminco

Supplier: Alminco

Alminco Bull Ant is capable of carrying many times its own mass in underground bracing.

Lightweight, durable and versatile the Bull Ant represents a first class Alminco ‘Legends’ series underground mining solution.

    • Adaptable
The Bull Ant can be used on its own as a brace, but is specifically designed for use with the Alminco Cub Borer. This combination
of Alminco ‘Legends’ provides a simple, lightweight solution for rib bolting and drilling of test and blast holes.
    • Dependable
Under the exacting conditions of underground mining Alminco recognises the need for lightweight, durable equipment. The
Alminco Bull Ant provides the necessary support to get the job done safely and efficiently.
    • Simple
Simplicity in design and operation are key to the success of the Bull Ant. From the easily operated air controls to the locating shaft
and pin that join the Bull Ant and the Cub – all are designed to ensure straightforward underground operation.
    • Versatile Control
The speed of lift and thrust are fully adjustable with the simple control valve. When combined with the Cub, lift and drilling
controls are close together. The versatile control system on the Bull Ant doubles the number of leg speed settings; this allows smooth
lifting to match the drilling speed.
    • Lightweight and Durable
The Bull Ant is manufactured using filament wound fibreglass and a stainless steel piston rod. This design enhances the strength of
the cylindrical air leg and reduces the mass for the operator.
    • Swift Repositioning
The Bull Ant can be swiftly and accurately repositioned using the push-button retraction valve. The snap action contraction of the
leg allows the Bull Ant to walk forward as it works. The claw spike on the base increases the grip and stability of the Bull Ant.
