Designed for highly precise cutting, a laser cutting machine is a reliable solution for the high end fabrication industry. With the ability to accurately cut different materials like wood, plastic, and a wide range of metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, aluminium, spring steel, brass, etc this machine has become an integral part of research and development based manufacturing facilities.

Laser cutting machines use computer numeric control CNC technology to move the laser head as per preset coordinates. Combining this with a dual ball screw drive system and other features like safety sensors, automatic laser focusing, pallet changer, dust collector and CE-certified safety glass windows makes a laser cutting machine an ideal machine for high end fabrication and manufacturing industry.

There are three basic types of laser cutting:

  • Fusion Cutting: This type of laser cutting machine uses nitrogen or argon as its cutting gas. These gasses are less reactionary and hence prevent oxidation or any other reaction of the kerf (melted or burnt material during cutting).
  • Flame Cutting: This is also known as reactive cutting. In this type, the material is exposed to a reactive gas and then the laser is focused on it. The application of laser initiates the reaction that allows a quicker and an easy cutting.
  • Remote Laser Cutting: This type of laser cutting doesn’t use any gas and is usually applied on sensitive and thin material. A laser beam alone melts and evaporates the material that is being cut.
