Date Loggers - Single Use for Temperature

Supplier: ECEFast

Data Loggers are widely used in the food industry for tracking temperatures, for Food Safety or for Quality improvements.

Temperature is one of the strongest determinants of bacteria growth, and shelf life or dangerous or perishable goods. iTag is a class of logger characterized by very low unit cost, and extreme ease of operation.

It is a very small waterproof package around the size of a credit card, containing the logger sensor and electronics - and the package is completely waterproof to IP67.

The iTag from TempSen is different from most products because it requires NO operator input to set up and start logging, and absolutely minimal input to download data. The logger is supplied configured and ready to go, by selecting the duration from 1 hour to 60 days, and the alarm limits [which trip LED indicators on the unit].

To start the logger, and small tag is torn off the package - that's it - the LEDs flash and indicate the unit is operational after a 30 minute delay, and then the main LED pulses while it is operating.

When the trip, or period is finished, the operator breaks one end off the logger, and exposes a USB connector. Software is free, and downloadable from a website.

Once installed on a computer [PC] it only remains to open the program, and plug the logger into a USB port. The operator then selects "download data" and excel file is opened, with a trip summary, individual readings, and a graph.

2800 temperatures can be recorded, with real time clock, time and date, and interval depending on the duration of the model [illustrated unit is 7 days]. Range is -30 to 70C and accuracy is +/-0.5C.

Single use loggers are around ½ the price of strip chart trip recorders, and they do not require any subsequent handling after the data is reviewed. The LEDs show if an alarm condition has been reached while recording.
