Engineers turn robot arm into F1 Ferrari simulator

Supplier: Headland
01 September, 2010

Game simulator engineers hook up an F1 racing simulator to a robot for a full racing experience.

The project has been in development for the last 24 months with interests from all top F1 teams.

The simulator can accurately mimic g-forces in all axis giving the driver a sense of braking, acceleration and turning in all directions. It is reported the simulator can even simulate an overturning vehicle, but with set harnesses still at testing stage, it it best to keep everything the right way up.
