Freight Packaging

Browse our packaging supplies for freight services.

Freight packaging is materials used to protect goods whilst in transit. Freight packaging is generally inexpensive, disposable and relatively light weight. Different types of cargo require different types of packaging. A common method for packaging small boxes for freight is to stack them on an inexpensive wooden pallet and secure them together by wrapping them tightly with plastic wrap. Fragile items often use foam packing chips or bubble wrap to help absorb impact.

Applications vary depending on the manufacturing situations. One specialised solution may include a customised reusable shipping container that can be rapidly filled and stacked without any possibility of damage to the contents, then brought in to assembly facilities and used as part of lean manufacturing logistics strategies.
