2. Metaza Impact Technology
The MPX-80 uses an advanced carbide-tipped stylus to permanently imprint text and images into acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel, brass, gold, silver, platinum and metallic stickers. The stylus stipples the surface with high speed and precision to accurately reproduce the delicate gradations of halftone, line art and/or text.
High resolution mode delivers an amazing 529dpi. And a vector mode outputs crisp, clear lines effectively engraving beautiful script fonts and crisp logos. The result is graphics and fonts that really pop. You can really get creative by mixing vector designs with photos!
The cartridge has nine ultra-hard tips that produce brilliant, photo-realistic graphics. Included head management software indicates when a new tip is needed and automatically changes it. When the cartridge finally goes through all of its “nine lives,” it easily swaps out with another.
Roland’s advanced Photo Marking System features an advanced carbide-tipped stylus cartridge. Its ultra hard tips produce brilliant, photo-realistic graphics in four different modes: text mode delivers 265dpi output, photo mode achieves 353dpi, high resolution mode pulls off an amazing 529dpi, and vector mode makes it quick and easy whether you want to produce delicate script lettering or bold filled lettering at 1058 dpi.

As Roland’s fourth-generation Photo Impact Printer, the MPX-80 can personalize both flat and curved giftware like pens, cuff links and money clips. The desktop device uses a head cap to allow curved surfaces to be imprinted. A centre vise helps keep items secure during production.
