Installation Guide for the Green Pipe
For use under Victorian Public roads
The Green Pipe is a flexible pipe manufactured and designed by Recycled Plastic Technology Pty Ltd, Being flexible The Green Pipe relies upon the surrounding embedment material to absorb and transfer vertical loads to the surrounding support zone.
For correct transfer of these vertical loads particular care must be given to the initial installation and compaction of the embedment materials.
The Australian Standard AS/NZS 2566.2 “Buried Flexible Pipelines – Part 2 Installation” provides detailed information on installation, selection of appropriate embedment materials and their compaction.
For installation under Victorian Public roads – minimum cover over the pipe should be adhered to and the installer must ensure all AS/NZS 2566.2 “Buried Flexible Pipelines - Part 2 Installation” requirements are met.
