Turbine Oil Conditioners
Kaydon's turbine oil conditioners are designed to remove particulate, water and "varnish" from turbine oil. Large and medium size turbines with reservoir sizes up to 45,500 litres can be conditioned using the Turbo-TOC & BCA systems. These oil conditioning systems are used as an off-line "Kidney Loop" system to condition turbine oil in a turbine oil reservoir. These systems are utilised on turbine oil lube systems and are used for steam turbines, combustion (gas) turbines, and hydroelectric turbines.
Turbine oil contaminants can lead to turbine failure and unscheduled maintenance. Kaydon has a solution to this contamination with their Model 858-300-EHC Smart-Vac Vacuum Distillation and Kay-Bond Ion Charge Bonding Technology. This technology purifies Phosphate Ester Fluids. Fuel Conditioning Systems
Modern Tier 2, 3 & 4 engines are using higher tolerance machined parts. These modern engines are susceptible to damage from contaminated oil.
The many transfer points of fuel oils between the refinery and final location can cause diesel fuel to become contaminated with water and particles. Even small quantities of water suspended in petroleum fuels can become hash abrasives under high pressure.
