Multidrive Tractors - Versatility to suit all kinds of applications

Supplier: Innovative Agricultural Marketing

The Multidrive has been designed primarily as a load carrier and is a highly versatile machine.

It can be equipped with a range of demountable and interchangeable equipment, including lime and fertilizer spreaders and Crop sprayers and can be used for light cultivation and hauling.

A number of Manufacturers supply comparable equipment to suit the Multidrive and in particular dry box spreaders to suit are provided by New Leader, Bredal and Transpread.

Highway Equipment Company, manufacturers the New Leader who are the leading U.S. manufacturer of dry fertilizer spreaders for self propelled machines, have developed a version of their L3030 G4 specifically for Multidrive. Made from stainless steel it is designed for low maintenance and ease of use. It broadcasts material in a flat-.topped pattern – not a pyramid pattern found with the average spinner spreader.

New Leader also provide a multiple product spreader the MultApplier. With this spreader two main products can be simultaneously and variably rate spread. The spreader has an additional hopper complete with its own conveyor. Both the main conveyor and the MultApplier conveyor dispense their product onto the same pair of spinners. The products are mixed and evenly distributed over the full spread width.

Many machines have been supplied equipped with Bredal K85 spreaders that are produced to fit directly to the Multidrive. Bredal spreaders work according to the double-overlap principle i.e. at a spreading width of 12 m the actual spread is 24 m.  This double overlap is preferred by some customers as they consider that it gives them a greater tolerance and therefore a greater degree of certainty when spreading at varying wheel track distances, with variable products.

Transpread spreaders are also supplied to suit the Multidrive. The Transpread has a specially designed wide cleated belt to ensure a constant feed to the spinner discs for all types of material from powdered lime through to slag and granular fertilizer. This design feature means that bout widths of 15 m when spreading lime and 30 m when spreading fertilizer enable effective accurate spreading of hilly or uneven ground. Split rear doors enable the spreading to be restricted one side only, specifically for spreading headlands.
