Pro-Visual Publishing, in collaboration with Leading Age Services Australia and Alzheimer’s Australia, has released their 2016 edition of the National Guide for Aged Care with Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities, allowing access to additional information and resources.
The 2016 edition of the Guide covers the following essential areas:
- Personal Protective Equipment and Infection Control.
- Patient Transfer and Handling of Patients.
- The palliAGED app.
- The Decision Assist Project.
General Practitioners (GPs) and other clinicians have an essential role in planning and providing care for the elderly. The palliAGED app was created in order to support and assist GPs and other clinicians in providing high quality palliative care to elderly Australians.
Additionally, the Decision Assist Project is an initiative that was also introduced to enhance palliative care. It aims to establish and strengthen links between aged care providers and specialist palliative care services at a local level.
