The Philippines Embassy in Singapore had some safety issues with their wooden stairs inside the embassy building.
They had called for various solution suppliers to address their problem, including Supa Safe Floors the only "One Stop Safety Solution Supplier" in Singapore.
Representatives of the company attended the site and proposed multiple solutions which not only would address the safety concerns, but also improve the aesthetical appearance of the stair case.
The company proposed to rejuvenate the aging wooden stairs using the WearMax Professional environmentally friendly water-based clear anti-slip coating system, which is also a very low VOC product.
For the stairs the company also proposed installation of the Safe Grip Ultimate anti slip stair nosing in an at least 30 per cent luminance contrast colour which will assist any visually impaired person navigating the stairway.
The product is also an environmentally friendly and sustainable surface safety solution which has already employed at 5 star green rated building.
After a consideration and comparison of the competing solutions and suppliers, the embassy decided to go ahead with the Supa Safe Floor proposal which offered a complete solution.
The project has now completed and the embassy is very happy with the solution and already talking to the company to address other surface safety concerns for them.
Over the years, the Safe Grip product has proven itself in hundreds of challenging situations and the independent laboratory tests have shown it has not only achieved the highest slip resistance rating (British Pendulum Class V / C.O.F. 0.98), but retained it over an extended period of time. This means that the floor surface contribution to the risk of slipping when wet will be very low not only at installation time but also for the years to come.
