Supplier: DYE Machinery (Australia) Ltd
26 June, 2009

Moore Trailers of Pittsworth Queensland, located 2.5 hours west of Brisbane recently took delivery of their new Dye NGX 325 tonne beast to keep pace with their burgeoning success.

A continuous stream of trailer orders for their popular grain bins and tippers for the grain, coal and gravel industries has necessitated the upgrading and expansion of the workshop capabilities to include the Dye NGX synchronized CNC pressbrake. Aside from these well known products the experienced team at Moore Trailers will design and manufacture a trailer for your demanding needs states Managing Director Lionel Moore. “We can build flat top trailers, tilt trays, drop deck trailers, fibre glass tankers and our pioneering extendable trailers what ever the client requires” quotes Lionel.

A Pittsworth local, Lionel Moore (Founder of Moore Trailers) had a vision and desire in the late 60’s to build industry leading trailers which were “moore” productive and versatile for the demands expected of truckies and contractors within the competitive industry.

In November of 1988 the first Moore trailer rolled out of a small shed located in Pittsworth signaling the start of the Moore revolution. As the business quickly grew, Lionel saw the need for a special purpose facility to carry out further expansion plans as users began to recommend and speak highly of their investment in the quality built trailer. In 1995 in an deliberate move they relocated to the new mammoth facility on the Gore Highway. This convenient location showed their customers their commitment to the industry by providing easy access for service support and parts, should the need arise. Coupled with this clients were safe in the knowledge that they were just down the road.

“Being located 40 kilometers west of Toowoomba, we needed a pressbrake machine that was going to be tough, that had local support and be able to keep up with the varied heavy duty workload that we require of it. We wanted a machine with hydraulic crowning as a must and cnc back gauging to speed up the back log in the folding area of our business. Our existing Chinese pressbrake, the Dye replaces became very unreliable and break downs became almost routine. It just couldn’t handle the expectations of our crew” states Lionel Moore.
When assessing a new heavy duty machine, the close knit family at Moore Trailers were well aware of the number of other well known Dye installations in the Darling Downs district and upon viewing a local installation were impressed by the quality and strength of the design. As the fourteenth machine in the area the Moore family were convinced the Dye would handle their increasing requirements to ensure they maintained their market share in the competitive trailer manufacturing industry.

So much so, that as a prominent leader on today’s roads you will find that 1 out of 10 trailers that passes you by, proudly carry the Moore name, thanks to new technology and the company’s innovation and reputation.
As their company motto suggests “Get MOORE trailer for your money”.
