Plastics for Timber Industry

Supplier: Cut to Size Plastics

Cut To Size has been involved with the Timber Industry over 30 years, and in this time we have developed a range of Engineering Plastics Products to reduce wear and down time in the Timber Mills.

Our Polyurethane J-Hooks are cast J-Hooks to fit all types of lumber sorting systems. These dependable, long wearing hooks come in many shapes and sizes to fit your specific application.

Our Reinforced Plastic Springs for Vibratory Conveyors are made of 3M’s Scotchply brand reinforced plastic, a unique material into which the epoxy resins are reinforced with continuous lineally aligned, non-woven filaments. This allows the plies to be laid so that the reinforcement is oriented to give greater strength and stiffness in the direction or directions in which it is most needed.

Our durable, low cost Poly Chain Cap is excellent for landing tables, discharge chains, ending transfers, stacker transfers, pull chains and many areas where there is a potential downgrading of material from chain marking. Smooth, quiet operation, minimal marking and low friction on boards makes our Polyethylene Chain Cap a wise investment.

Our Polyurethane & UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) Idler and Drive Sockets are lightweight, cleaner and quieter. They offer a longer lifespan than conventional sprockets in most applications.

We stock an extensive range of sizes of Wearex® UHMWPE Extruded Wear Strip, Flat Bar & Sheet. Wearex® is available as plain flatbar, notched for retainers or pre-drilled for countersunk weld washers.

UHMWPE Roller Lugs are ideally suited for use on transfers with even-ended and cross-over rolls. The UHMWPE roller rotates on a pin, reducing the friction that retards the ending of the lumber.

Chanex® is a UHMWPE channel currently being used in countless industrial applications all over the world. The inherent properties of outstanding wear resistance, low friction, high impact strength, and strong resistance to corrosive media have led to the development of CHANEX® UHMWPE Channel. This lightweight channel requires little maintenance and no lubrication. It reduces wear and noise and is available in various dimensions.
