Endress+Hauser’s new Proline Promass S stainless steel sensor meets the hygienic requirements for dairies, wineries and food processing plants and delivers a high level of accuracy (0.1% o.r.).
The single bent tube design of the Promass S ensures it is less affected by temperature changes that typically affect Coriolis mass flow meters with dual bent measuring tubes. The single bent tube design makes the sensor drainable and cleanable. It also displays low pressure loss and facilitates the use of cleaning pigs.
The absence of a flow splitter ensures minimal shearing (thus more ‘gentle’ product treatment) and a decreased possibility of tube blockage. Its unique design also ensures reduced cleaning time between batches, increasing plant productivity. The Promass S meets EHEDG, 3A, FDA and SIL2 requirements and is capable of handling the stringent CIP and SIP processes employed in the food and beverage industry.
This multivariable sensor caters for a variety of measurements including mass flow, volume flow, density, concentration and temperature. With no moving parts and no seals, the device is virtually maintenance free, ensuring high reliability. The guided software setup makes Promass S easy to install.
The sensor features intelligent tooling and is available with the Endress+Hauser suite of FieldCheck and FieldCare products that enable onsite diagnostics, verification and simulation, as well as serviceability and process availability.
