How to get the most out of your rubber tracks:

ATS Traction Systems utilises its long experience to design and test the Voortraka Products for superior performance. But to get the most out of your rubber tracks, you have to treat them with care. We recommend the following basic guidelines in this respect:

  • It is essential that you maintain the correct tension on your Voortraka tracks at all time Check your machine operating manual for tension details
  • Check the undercarriage components (ie sprockets, roller and idler) for wear periodically Track performance and durability can be affected by wear and damage of undercarriage components
  • Limit the use of your vehicle on large, sharp rocky surfaces and sharp steel edges
  • Fast sharp turns and side slope turns can damage the track Avoid when possible
  • Endeavour to stop large foreign objects from becoming entangled in your undercarriage
  • If at all possible, do not drive with track sidewall edges pressing against hard walls, curbs and other objects
  • If oil or similar products get on the tracks, clean it off immediately as oil will degrade the rubber quality and shorten the track life
  • Ensure your vehicle is kept out of the rain and direct sunlight when being stored for long periods of time
