The Concept of Rotomax is to separate the drive unit and the tool holder to give the user a powerful drive (2.4 Kw) without having to hold a heavy tool.

The problem is that Safe working becomes an important issue with a normal power tool, the operator has the on-off switch in their hand, but with Flexible Drive systems this is not the case and the work piece can be 2 metres away from the drive unit. Suhner Rotomax overcomes this with the programmable Foot Switch

Simple connection to the side of the Rotomax Unit and an easy 4 step program to engage the switch and with the infinite speed control from 500 Rpm to 15,000 Rpm, Suhner Rotomax is the most effective Flexible Drive polishing and grinding machine in the World.

Stone/Concrete Polishing and Glass Finishing where water is sometimes needed as a coolant are an ideal application for Rotomax:- Infinite speed control, Electric motor well away from the work piece, light weight polishing heads. And Silence!

A keypad on top of the housing makes selecting the desired speed - shown in a display - both quick and easy. Electronic speed regulation is implemented here.

Available at the output, are speeds from 500 to 15,000 rpm in 100 Rpm Steps.

The electronics regulate gentle starting and, engaging the built-in brakes, achieve a very short braking time.
