The Small Main Board is suitable for supplies up to 630 amps, and comes installed with all the sections and panels required for the application.

The enclosure comprises of a double-hinged insulated meter panel at the top which is segregated from the central CT chamber using a shelf. The CT compartment contains an acrylic removable screen and a sealable hinged escutcheon in the centre section. The cable can be segregated within the CT chamber using a purpose built duct, and there is a built in potential fuse bracket predrilled for easy installation.

The bottom section of the enclosure is divided into two isolated compartments for incoming (supply authority) and outgoing (consumer) supplies, with cable entry via two separate 3 mm thick aluminium gland plates. The supply authority side contains a service protection device panel and the main neutral bar covered by a sealable fixed escutcheon. In the consumer section is a neutral bar, earth bar and panel covered with a fixed escutcheon. Internal traffolyte labels are also included as part of the enclosure system package.

The SMB1/15 has not only been designed to AS3439-1, but type tested to a maximum fault level of 31.5kA for 1 second (CT chassis). This ensures that any board built with this enclosure system is suitably certified to ensure compliance with regulations in all states.

The enclosure itself has been developed from the well proven B&R Monarch IP range. It is made from robust, corrosion resistant 1.6 mm thick zinc coated steel, powdercoated to an average thickness of 100 µm. Other materials are also available on request, including powder coated aluminium and 316 stainless steel, for applications requiring the ultimate in corrosion resistance. The SMB1/15 is also supplied complete with a 75mm high, hot dip galvanised channel iron plinth for easy mounting to the ground.
