An industry standard for many years, mostly used in RS232 communications, these connectors are available with several options for pin count, mounting, gender, jack screws and more.

Depending on the particuar option selected, the specification include the following:

Available in 9, 15, 25 and 37 way, male and female.
PCB mount, solder cup or flat ribbon cable crimp options.
PCB version availabe in right angle (horizontal) or straight (vertical).
Tin plated shell.
Conductor is brass and available with selective gold flash.
Insulation resistance 1000 MΩ minimum.
Typical contact resistance 30mΩ and 1Amp current rating.
Additional options include rivets and Jack screws as well as back shells.
