Managing Director Mark Menzie has been involved in the heavy vehicle smash repairing business for some 20 plus years, leaving school at 15 years old to go and work at a Tasmanian smash repair shop, as soon as he was old enough he went and got his tow truck license and began doing heavy vehicle Recoveries.
Mark has extensive knowledge in the field of Heavy Vehicle Repairing and Recovery. In 2004 Mark started up "The Truck Factory" in a small Wingfield shed with himself and two tradesmen. As things got busier, Mark soon out grew the small shed and in 2005 moved the business out to its current location. Also buying his first tow truck, this adding a 24 hour heavy vehicle towing service to the already growing company.
With the purchase of the Tow Truck along came more work, now employing 15 people and continuing to grow Mark set up another workshop/storage yard on Port Wakefield Road Parafield Gardens. In late 2010 Mark purchased his second Tow Truck, the New Kent Construction 389 Peterbilt.
To date the company now employs over 35 people and has two heavy vehicle tow trucks, one heavy tilt tray and nine loan trucks, this is a service that is unique to The Truck Factory.
