Thermal Imaging Cameras | K-Series

Supplier: FLIR Systems Australia

The K-Series thermal imaging camera by FLIR Systems Australia are designed for firefighting applications.

Thermal imaging cameras do not need any light whatsoever to create a crisp image. And maybe even more important for fire fighters, they can also see through smoke. The FLIR K-Series thermal imaging cameras have been especially developed for the most demanding fire fighting tasks. A thermal imaging camera helps fire fighters find people in smoke-filled rooms, as well as helping them navigate their own way through smoky environments. Due to a thermal imaging camera's ability to measure temperatures, fire fighters can ascertain whether a fire is burning behind a surface, assisting them to avoid dangerous flashovers and backdrafts.

The FLIR K-Series thermal imaging camera allows the user to find hotspots in extinguished fires, preventing a fire from reigniting. It can be used for other forms of search and rescue missions in which fire fighters and emergency services are often involved. The K-series is designed to meet tough operating conditions. It withstands a drop from 2 meters on a concrete floor, is water resistant to IP67 and fully operating up to +85 °C.The maintenance free uncooled microbolometer sensor produces clear and detail-rich images of 240 x 180 pixels (FLIR K40) or 320 x 240 pixels (FLIR K50).

Thermal images are presented on a large, bright 4" display, helping you navigate and make quick and accurate decisions. An intuitive and simple user interface allows you to focus on the job at hand. The FLIR K-Series can be controlled by just 3 large buttons on top of the unit. Ideal for a gloved fire fighter's hand.
