Transportal enables drivers to access many aspects of their vehicle management from one system with a single screen mounted on the dashboard. There are two versions of the Transportal product: one is based on Windows CE platform, the other is based on Windows XP platform.
The CE platform provides a screen solution for on-board scales and satellite navigation. Is it also capable of accepting a safety camera input and can be used as a terminal for satellite tracking with compatible systems.
The Transportal XP based computer platform has additional capabilities to the CE system with current and proposed program applications.
This technology, which gives priority to alarms and safety cameras increases all- round safety by reducing distractions to the vehicle operator.
Transportal XP system enables multiple vehicle applications to be displayed on a single screen.
Applications currently available include on-board scales, side and reverse cameras, satellite tracking, vehicle alarm inputs, satellite navigation and email communication.
The alarm system is based on PLC technology enabling multiple inputs both digital and analogue. The PLC can be programmed to monitor and operate inputs from various sensors; inputs can be from existing vehicle mounted sensors or sensors installed for particular alarm inputs. These alarms operate in sequence with priorities.
Satellite navigation software which is truck specific is available for both CE and XP platforms.
Proposed applications include document storage, tyre pressure monitoring and engine monitoring via J1939 Can-Bus input.
The development of the Transportal solution demonstrates Loadman Australia’s commitment to strengthening our reputation as a specialist provider of leading edge technology on-board scales and fleet management systems.
