There are currently 39,000 industrial and around 5,500 agricultural and veterinary chemicals in use in Australia, many of which are considered hazardous according to the definitions in the Globally Harmonised System (GHS).
It is therefore important that workers and any visitors to your site understand what chemicals are in use and how to work safely with and around them.
The course provides knowledge of how to work safely with hazardous chemicals and includes instruction on:
- What are hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods.
- What are the risks associated when working with them.
- How can we control and monitor those risks.
- How to prepare for an emergency.
