Have the necessary levels of health and fitness to safely carry out work as a scaffolder
Must be able to provide 100 points of identity
Basic Scaffolding course covers:
OH&S Legislation (Acts, Regulations and Duty of Care)
Application of Australian standards
Personal and general safety inspection and application of fibre ropes, bends, hitches, splices and gin wheels
Plan and prepare work
Estimating weights and quantities of scaffold gear
Inspection of equipment
Preparing auxiliary scaffolding equipment
Erect modular scaffold and gin wheel
Alterations to scaffold
Sessions and duration:
Depends on level of operator experience
Obtaining your Licence:
If successful a temporary licence is issued on the day; you then need to submit an application for a WorkSafe licence at any Post Office which must be accompanied with a $60 fee.
