BraggMETER Fiber Bragg Grating Interrogator - By Fiber Sensing

Supplier: Bestech Australia

This new fibre optic sensors measurement unit from Fiber Sensing is called the BraggMETER, and is offered by Bestech Australia.

Price Guide: POA

Fiber Sensing fibre optic measurement units provide precise and high resolution quasi-static and dynamic measurements through a reliable and user-friendly interface. The ease of configuration and installation and the ability to interrogate multiple sensors of different types using only one interface grants the user significant cost reductions.
FiberSensing measurement units feature an intuitive easy-to-use software interface with built-in datalogger functions such as automated sampling, archiving and transmitting.
A high-performance local database manages both multiple sensor network configurations and large datasets. Acquired data can also be exported to analysis tools through Excel™ compatible files.

They are based on industrial PC components, running Windows™ XP Embedded for maximum compatibility and expandibility. All units feature standard VGA and USB ports, as well as a rugged touch-screen interface.
Two technologies are available for fibre optic sensors: BraggMETER for high-accuracy quasi-static measurements and Bragg-SCOPE for multi-sensor dynamic measurements. The FBG interrogators are available in industrial, portable or benchtop form.
Benefits of these measurement units for fibre optic sensors include:
·         Suitable for large scale sensing networks
·         Ideal for remote monitoring
·         Dynamic/static measurements
·         Modular equipment
·         Allocation of several sensors
·         Low-cost measurements
·         Highly sensitive and precise
·         Long-term stability
The high performance extended temperature model includes features such as high performance laser scanning, NIST traceable wavelength reference. It is designed specifically to interrogate fibre optic sensors under the most severe environmental conditions, such as those experience in civil engineering and mining projects..
The high dynamic range and output power allow high resolution to be attained even for long fibre leads and lossy connections.
This measurement unit for fibre optic sensors is available in Australia and New Zealand from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd.
