These bucket elevators will suit a variety of free flowing granular products; dry or wet; non-corrosive and corrosive; non-abrasive and abrasive. Options include standard duty, heavy duty, standard boot or low residue style, mild steel painted, galvanised or stainless steel. A general description of each model type is follows:
- “S” Series high speed centrifugal discharge bucket elevator. Basically standard units used widely within the grain industry.
- “A” Series slow speed combination centrifugal & gravity discharge bucket elevator suited to industrial applications such as minerals extraction, cement plants, fertilisers etc.
- “C” Series slow speed centrifugal discharge bucket elevator. Specifically designed for seed handling and provides for good cleanout with a removal bottom panel at the boot.
- “H” Series continuous discharge slow speed bucket elevator. This elevator type is ideal for dusty, abrasive, delicate, or friable materials. Product discharges by gravity, as a loaded bucket moves up and around the elevator’s head pulley the material gently discharges from the bucket onto the back of the preceding inverted bucket and into the discharge throat.
Our larger capacity elevators are now available with a new Downfields floating boot system which was developed to minimise boot residue; dead grain. The boot bottom plate is radiused to the boot pulley and the whole boot and pulley move as one to provide belt adjustment. This system can also come with special air jets which stir up any remaining grain to be caught by the buckets as they travel through the boot area. The floating boot has proven to be very successful and popular option.
