Burlington Slate

Supplier: Roofing Slate Worx

Burlington Blue Gray and Westmoreland Green slates are from the Lakeland district of England, and are widely used on both new and heritage buildings throughout the UK and USA.

Price Guide: POA

They have been used on buildings, such as Buckingham Palace and St Andrews Golf Club, as well as many churches and public buildings in The UK and USA. Burlington Blue Grey has recently been used on re-roofing of the Officers`Mess at Victoria Barracks Sydney.

Burlington Slates have recently been reclaimed from roofs which have lasted over 400 years. They are not in the style or form of the finde grained smooth uniform Canadian or Welsh stones. Rather their strength is that they are textured and reflect light from different forms and patterns within the stone itself.

They give the architect the chance to complete a building project that displays texture and depth combined with rugged style and grace.

Westmoreland Green are the most prestigious slates available, and are the standard by which all other green slates are judged.
