Epoxy resin based flooring
Traub and Son
Size of Floor:
HydroFlor was nominated for the cell floors and charge-out areas on this new project because the architect wanted a visual effect that was different from the monotone that our conventional epoxy may have delivered.
HydroFlor and Surecote 200 are both approved by the Queensland Government under their VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) minimisation policy in buildings.
The architect wanted the HydroFlor to be a close match to the vinyl that was being used in other areas of the building. This was achieved by a custom blend of five flake colours. The flooring work was part of the cell builders contract and was awarded to their painters, Traub and Son.
The flake flooring system was applied towards the end of the construction of the new courthouse and was completed on time and to specification with minimal disruption to other trades.
