What is it?
Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate has a chemical formula of Fe(SO4).7H2O, and is commonly known as Iron Sulphate, Green Vitriol or Iron Vitriol. It can be described as fine free flowing green crystals, and is dried to less than 0.3% free moisture.
Where is it applied?
Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate is used in: the chemical industry as a neutralising agent for Cyanide solutions; in fertilisers as a trace element; and in horticulture for garden products. Ferrous Sulphate can also be used clinically to treat iron-deficiency anaemia.
