Colour aptitude skill exercises

This set comprises eight Colour Aptitude Skill Development Exercises i.e. blue, green, red, yellow, purple, violet, white and black sets. For the six chromatic exercises (blue, green, red, yellow, purple and violet) there are 27 samples (A9) which have to be arranged in order of chroma, hue and lightness. There are a similar number in the white set and 30 (A9) for the black set.

Individuals can work on the exercises without supervision. Lighting should be controlled and we recommend a Colour Assessment Cabinet with CIE Daylight Illumination D65. Each sample is randomly numbered and an 'answer' sheet for each colour set is included.

Colour Aptitude Testing

Aptitude Testing is necessary to ensure that the company personnel have the skills to make vital visual colour assessments. The aptitude testing consists of a series of test to isolate the different levels of an individual's ability to match and judge differences in colour.

It is extremely important for people working with colour daily to undergo the testing. Anyone selection, matching or specifying colours should be tested for colour vision deficiencies. Disapproval of finished work can cause lose of money, respect and valuable time for your company.

Aptitude testing is for individuals working with colour such as: artists, architects, designers, engineers, manufacturing and marketing personnel.

The trained supervisors from NHPL have all carried out these tests, scoring excellent results. NHPL have been running aptitude testing throughout Australia and internationally for the past five years. We have conducted over 200 tests to a wide range of industries including automotive, building, plastic, food and design.
