Construction watchdog says union officials trying to 'test' its powers
Union lawlessness on South Australian building sites has reached "alarming levels", the federal government's construction watchdog says.
Fair Work Building and Construction director Nigel Hadgkiss has launched 17 investigations into claims of Fair Work law breaches by CFMEU officials this month and claims the union has been flying officials into SA to test its powers.
He has responded by flying extra staff into Adelaide to help "support" the industry.
