The FMC Series E4000 trough belt idler line features factory lubricated rolls supplied with lubrication fittings at both ends of the idlers for ease in field regreasing from either side of the conveyor.
The Series E4000 idler load ratings exceed CEMA E requirements and are designed for high capacity bulk conveying, continuous material handling operations moving large volumes of the heaviest, coarsest, most abrasive materials, such as coal, iron ore, copper, large stone and overburden.
The complete line of E4000 Series idlers includes 900 to 2400mm belt width, 20, 35, and 45 degree 3 roll troughed, positive action training, impact, and return idlers, as well as many specially designed products to suit every material handling requirement.
The E4000 trough rollers and frames are protected from corrosion by a polymeric powder coating (Corvel Gray) which is applied following a three-stage phosphate cleaning operation.
The finish is then baked on at high temperatures to provide resistance to abrasive elements. Assembly hardware is electro-zinc plated to ensure extended service.
The Series E4000 rollers, available in both 152 and 178mm diameters, feature an exclusive full length center tube and precision die-formed heads that are recessed into hot rolled mechanical shells.
The entire unit is then continuously welded robotically, thus ensuring an integral, airtight unit in which contaminants and corrosion can- not enter.
The exclusive Delrin triple horizontal labyrinth outer seal protects the precision tapered roller bearings in several ways.
The outer deflector cap (flinger) features a 90 degree contoured lip to deflect material away from the roll ends.
Triple horizontal, grease filled labyrinths and nitrile triple lip contact primary seals ensure against the ingress of performance inhibiting contaminants.
Additional protection of the idler bearings is assured by the “grease filled center tube” and grease-through-lubrication.
Each three roll troughed idler is equipped with a standard grease fitting at each end, along with polypropylene shaft connectors between the center and end rolls for single point positive greasing.
