Tachometer Overview:

• The purpose of the Tachometer is to measure belt travel 
• The measurement is required to be very accurate, within 0.1% to 0.05%. 
• Errors in tachometry translate directly to error in the belt weigher output. 
• The tachometer pulley (or wheel) should be at least 300mm diameter to reduce tachometer error. 
• CST use tachometers frequencies from 1Hz to 200Hz 
• Higher frequency tachometers can be easier to calibrate in a short belt distance
